How Your Mock Interview Works

Read through the guide below so you know exactly what to expect and how to navigate the session before you begin.

• 🧑‍💼You'll first pick an AI interviewer, your target role, difficulty level, interview type, and number of questions.
• 🔊The AI interviewer will ask each question aloud — read along with the on-screen text as it's spoken.
• 🎤Answer by recording your voice using the microphone button — or toggle "Type instead of speak" to answer in text.
• ▶After recording, you can play back your answer or delete and re-record before submitting.
• 💬Click "Submit Answer & Continue" to receive instant AI feedback before moving to the next question. You can also Skip a question.
• 📝A live transcript of the conversation appears on the right-hand side as you progress.
• 📊At the end, you'll get an overall score with a breakdown of communication, relevance, confidence & structure — plus strengths and areas to improve.

• ⏱️A 10-minute session countdown starts once you begin — the session auto-wraps up when it reaches zero.
• 🔵The progress dots at the top of the question card show how many questions remain.
• 🎙️Make sure to allow microphone access when prompted if you want to answer by voice.
• 🔄When finished, use "Start New Interview Session" on the results screen to practise again.
• ⬅️Use the "← Back" button at the top any time to exit Interview Studio and return to your portal.

Find a quiet space, speak clearly, and structure your answers using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) for behavioural questions. Good luck!
